He graduated from SUNY Stony Brook Dental School in 1998 with a degree in dentistry and completed his residency program at New York University (NYU) the following year. He honed his skills as a cosmetic dentist in Manhattan for five years.

Education and Training
Dr. Mozner’s formal training includes a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, completed in 1998, followed by a residency at NYU Dental School’s AEGD Program in 1999, where he focused on prosthodontics and complex restorative cases.
Beyond his foundational education, Dr. Mozner pursued specialized training in implant dentistry through multiple programs. In 2008, he earned a certificate in bone and membrane grafting from NOBEL. In 2010, he completed an Advanced Training Implant Course through MIS covering implant placements, flapping, bone grafts, and sinus lifts. That same year, he traveled to the Dominican Republic for hands-on surgical training in implant placement, sinus lifts, and tissue management under experienced oral surgeons.
He is also a certified Invisalign provider and holds certification in Botox administration for therapeutic and cosmetic dental applications.
Dental Implant Experience
Dental implants are one of Dr. Mozner’s primary areas of focus. Over the course of his career, he has placed approximately 3,000 dental implants with a documented success rate of 96%.
Dr. Mozner’s approach to implant surgery centers on minimal tissue disruption. “They don’t hurt if done properly and quickly with as little tissue manipulation as possible,” Dr. Mozner explains. “The surgery itself is often done atraumatically, meaning with not a lot of tissue manipulation, thanks to the modern CT scan, instrumentarium, and modern dentistry.”
He works with multiple leading implant systems, including Zimmer (Biotech Horizon), MIS, Astra, and Ritter, selecting the optimal system based on each patient’s bone density, anatomy, and restoration goals. His training through both MIS and NOBEL certification programs, combined with his ongoing teaching at NYU, means his implant techniques reflect current research and clinical standards.
Dr. Mozner also performs full-arch restorations using the All-on-6 protocol for patients who need complete tooth replacement. He has completed approximately 20-30 full-arch cases, restoring patients’ ability to eat and smile with confidence.
Cosmetic Dentistry and Awards
Dr. Mozner has completed approximately 300 porcelain veneer cases using Emax and Da Vinci porcelain systems. His cosmetic work has been recognized by the American Institute of Cosmetic Dentistry with an award for excellence in veneers.

Unlike larger dental offices that refer patients out for specialized procedures, Dr. Mozner keeps the majority of treatment in-house. “It’s all done in house. If you need to get a cleaning or a cavity, it can be all done by one doctor. The key word here is a boutique office where we don’t act as a 311 by returning patients outside.”
For patients who experience dental anxiety, the office uses nitrous oxide, noise-canceling headphones, and a relaxed atmosphere with Netflix available during procedures.
Technology
Dr. Mozner’s office is equipped with a CT scan (CBCT) for 3D imaging and precise implant planning, a Dexis digital scanner that eliminates the need for traditional rubber molds, panoramic and digital X-rays, NSK rotary endodontic instruments, and the Zoom whitening system. The integration of digital scanning and CT imaging allows Dr. Mozner to plan implant cases with accuracy before surgery begins.
