Biography
Dr. Timur Mozner leads Creative Dental of Syosset, a family practice in Syosset, New York, with more than 20 years in cosmetic and general dentistry. He has been voted one of America's Best Dentists in 2015, 2017, and 2021, and patients know him for calm, unhurried care, especially with anyone anxious about the dentist.
Dr. Mozner graduated from the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine in 1998 and completed his residency in NYU Dental School's Advanced Education in General Dentistry program the following year. In 2020 he served as a Main Clinical Supervising Faculty member at NYU, teaching endodontics, prosthodontics, and implant dentistry. He holds dental licenses in New York and Florida. His advanced training in implant surgery includes a certificate in bone and membrane grafting from Nobel (2008), the MIS Advanced Implant Course (2010) covering placements, flapping, bone grafts, and sinus lifts, and hands-on surgical training in the Dominican Republic in implant placement, sinus lifts, and tissue management under experienced oral surgeons. He is a certified Invisalign provider and is Botox-certified, and he is fluent in English, Polish, Russian, and Ukrainian.
Practice philosophy
Creative Dental of Syosset operates as what Dr. Mozner describes as a boutique dental practice. “We have a boutique office which caters to the needs of patients of all ages,” he says, “and we specialize in painless dentistry, with utmost kindness and compassion.” Unlike larger offices that refer patients out, he keeps the majority of treatment in-house: “If you need to get a cleaning or a cavity, it can all be done by one doctor.” For patients with dental anxiety, the office offers nitrous oxide, noise-canceling headphones, and a relaxed atmosphere with Netflix available during procedures.
On implant surgery, he explains: “They don't hurt if done properly and quickly with as little tissue manipulation as possible. The surgery itself is often done atraumatically, thanks to the modern CT scan, instrumentarium, and modern dentistry.”
Dr. Mozner also performs full-arch restorations using the All-on-6 protocol for patients who need complete tooth replacement, done fully in-house. He has completed approximately 20-30 full-arch cases, restoring patients' ability to eat and smile with confidence.
Cosmetic dentistry
Dr. Mozner has completed approximately 300 porcelain veneer cases using Emax and Da Vinci porcelain systems, and has performed over 1,000 in-office Zoom whitening procedures, making it one of the most requested services in the practice. His cosmetic work has been recognized by the American Institute of Cosmetic Dentistry with an award for excellence in veneers, and he has received recognition from the American Dental Association for implant placement.
In-office technology
The office is equipped with a CBCT scanner for 3D imaging and precise implant planning, a Dexis digital scanner that eliminates traditional rubber molds, panoramic and digital X-rays, NSK rotary endodontic instruments, and the Zoom whitening system. The combination of digital scanning and CT imaging lets Dr. Mozner plan implant cases with accuracy before surgery begins.
