Digital impressions are also more accurate than traditional molds, which means fewer fit adjustments and less time in the dental chair.
How the dental lab color-matches your crown
All crowns are fabricated by an external dental laboratory. Dr. Mozner sends your digital scan to the lab, where a technician shapes the crown from zirconia and matches its color, shape, and translucency to your surrounding teeth. Does getting a dental crown hurt?
We use local anesthesia so the tooth and surrounding area are completely numb throughout the preparation. You may have some minor, temporary sensitivity after the tooth is shaped, and placing the final crown is usually a comfortable visit. Patients describe the care here as gentle and judgment-free.
